About Diane
Diane Storey, Marriage and Funeral Celebrant, Grad.Dip.Cel. and Cert IV WPT&A.

Certified Marriage Celebrant Board Member, International College of Celebrancy Member, Australian Federation of Civil Celebrants.

Diane is committed to empowering people to make choices as they work together to create meaningful ceremonies for those rites of passage that affect us all – birth, marriage and death.

Diane conducts ceremonies for birth, marriages, death, divorce, transition etc. Her business focuses on Weddings and Funerals. Diane is passionate about working with people to create unique ceremonies for them that truly address their needs for the special occasion.

Diane believes that her clients should have the best ceremonies possible – rich in music, poetry, prose, symbolism, choreography, style and expressed values. Professional celebrants are dedicated to best practice and the pursuit of excellence in all ceremonies.

Diane spends many hours creating a ceremony that reflects your individuality and your wish to declare publicly the love you share as well as your hopes and aspirations for your future life. By listening actively and guiding gently, she ensures the ceremony fulfils every wish and need. Couples meet with Diane as often as they require.

She will travel for wedding ceremonies and particularly enjoys working in unique locations. Mount Buller, The High Country, and Bright and environs are wonderful locations. Interviews can also take place in Melbourne and often do.

Ceremonies take place in many locations. Fortunately within this country we are not restricted by law on the location we choose for ceremonies. Celebrants are authorised to perform ceremonies anywhere within Australia, so we are not bound by regions etc.

Diane’s main focus is performing ceremonies in and around the Melbourne area, with a special passion for the High Country, North Eastern Victoria – Mansfield, Mount Buller, Mount Buffalo, Bonnie Doon, Bright and Lake Eildon. This area is beautiful with its rugged mountains, surreal snow plains, gentle lakes and sweeping grasslands – a superb backdrop.

Diane has conducted a State Funeral and worked in conjunction with community groups, writing and conducting dedication ceremonies for babies, who in years past, were mass buried. Diane says these were deeply moving personal experiences.

The essential information is mainly gained in an unhurried, relaxed interview with the family. The creative writing of the eulogy is then commenced, carefully incorporating the most appropriate quotes of literature and selections of music as chosen by the family.
