Goughs Bay Boat Club

The Goughs Bay Boat Club, with its storied past and numerous name evolutions including the Mansfield Boat and Yacht Club, Mansfield Boat Club Goughs Bay Inc., and others, stands as a testament to the enduring spirit and dedication of its community. Since its inception in 1962, driven by a visionary few, the club has been an integral part of Lake Eildon’s history and a beloved haven for boat enthusiasts. Crafted from the ground up on a site granted by the State Rivers and Water Commission, the club’s construction was a monumental effort of volunteer labor led by members like Len Lynch and supported by the generosity and hard work of the community, including significant contributions from women members which marked a progressive step for the era. Over the years, the club has seen numerous enhancements, including the addition of the Noel Warren Bar area and significant renovations to create spaces like the Kids Club and modernize facilities, all while maintaining its commitment to being a vibrant community hub with some of the best views on Lake Eildon.
